Flirc is an online store selling beautifully crafted home media center products. Their mission is to provide elegant and user friendly way to use any remote control with your computer, media center, or set top box.
We started working with Flirc when they came to our company, looking for two things, migrating their store from LemonStand to an open-source platform and renewing completely the look and style of the store.
We started by creating a comparison chart between the most popular open-source solutions available. After evaluating the pros & cons of each platform, the client decided to go with OpenCart. We provided the client with two themes at the right time to make a final decision (that required us to modify OpenCart’s default payment flow to accomplish what the UX designer had in mind).
We handled the migration from the LemonStand database to OpenCart’s schema. We’ve also worked in the OpenCart customization; Installing and seting up all the required payment methods. Also, we’ve made the Integration with Shipstation.com and configured the purchase flow statuses according to the business needs.
When we made the final deployment, the whole process brought along complete documentation on how the store system was configured and migrated to production. The implementation was a complete success, and the new store started operating without flaws. We had also worked on adding some payment methods (like Transaction Express) and developing some specific plugins.
Nowadays, we keep working on the store, to cover specific business needs. After over a year of hard work, Flirc’s success speaks for us. We have created a thorough and efficient store, but overall an invaluable trusting relationship with our client.
