Paper Tiger is a boutique design agency driven by unique ideas, products and the passionate people behind them.
From visual design to creative concepts, web development to social media integration, Paper Tiger equips its clients to best express their brand, communicate their messages, and engage their audiences.
With an approach that is audacious yet prudent, stylish and substantial, Paper Tiger has helped invigorate and refresh local and global brands from the worlds of publishing, music, event management, e-commerce, and international charity.
The McBride Company is a unique and highly creative concept and design firm that focuses on the hospitality and leisure industries. We are inspired by their work and were flattered when they chose to work with Paper Tiger on revamping their branding and web presence.
The goal was to create a rich, full-browser experience that showcases the company’s exceptional portfolio and culture. With great content comes great responsibility and we were up for the challenge.
Collaborating with the great creative minds at McBride Company was an experience we won’t soon forget. They provided great input and lush imagery showcasing their work, making the site a pleasure to design.
We’re thinking we’ll need to redo the Paper Tiger office and bring McBride in to do an elaborate interior for us. We can even leverage their Sound Design department to get a decent soundtrack going for this place. Anything would beat the depressing music that our Creative Director Jason chooses!
Pro Audio is an industry that has always fascinated us. After all, Paper Tiger was founded by music industry relics looking to branch out creatively. Even though we primarily focus on visual design now, the warm glow and gentle hum of a recording studio still feels like home to us. As soon as we heard about this project, we jumped at the chance to bring those familiar feelings to life on a new site.
Pro Sound Effects is in a class by itself in terms of selection, quality, and talent. It's a company run by great people with a genuine passion for what they do.
These values align closely with those at Paper Tiger, making this one of the best collaborations we've done yet.
PSE came to Paper Tiger with a useable but unwieldy Magento site. We consulted with the team on choosing a new platform (Shopify) and restructured their information architecture to simplify the way their content is served. At the heart of the project was a responsive front-end user experience and interface overhaul. The end result is a more powerful, better looking Pro Sound Effects site that will last for years to come.
The Whistler Wash Co. was born when Flint & Tinder Clothing began shipping bars of all-natural custom-made soap with their orders. The idea was to spin Whistler off to it’s own product line and it quickly soared past the Kickstarter fundraising goal.
Whistler came to Paper Tiger needing an immersive, beautifully designed website that would convey the quality of their product line, while also offering users a quick and simple ordering process.
Paper Tiger built a turn-key shopping cart and product subscription service by leveraging the Shopify platform and expanding upon it. There were no templates used, making the site as natural and refreshing as the soaps being sold.
MOOYAH Burgers, Fries, and Shakes is an exceptional brand in a rapidly expanding market. With locations all over the world, they needed a site that would communicate easily and effectively to a wide range of customers.
We started with an existing look at the MOOYAH brand, website, and some of their customers. We also helped ourselves to (more than one) meal at our local MOOYAH. Along the way we discovered a brand with a deep understanding of themselves, their customers, and their food.
MOOYAH had several requirements for the project. Perhaps most importantly, we needed their customers to be able to find their nearest location and browse the menu with as little friction as possible.
The resulting site is a responsive, totally custom, Craft CMS site with some serious geolocation features between the buns.
Paper Tiger has a rich history with The New York Times. Starting a few years ago with a complete overhaul of their online Media Kit, we have consistently delivered support and new projects for the exceptional marketing and sales departments there. We have since designed and built sites for the NYT Travel Show, Film Club, Corporate Marketing, and their Education platform.
Paper Tiger is often brought in to handle the information architecture, design, and development for important pieces of The New York Times online marketing infrastructure. We’ve consolidated hundreds of pages into dozens, created beautiful user interfaces, and integrated intuitive content management tools.
Howcast is one of the largest networks of “How To” videos in existence. We’ve used it many times ourselves and have always enjoyed the high-quality production and a wide range of topics. When you need to learn how to do something, Howcast should probably be your first stop.
The new site needed to be responsive and easy to search and browse. In addition to designing and planning the new interface, Paper Tiger also set Howcast up with a new Content Management System (CMS) and video platform.
