Headquartered in San Francisco
Fictiv is a user experience firm that specializes in designing and prototyping web 2.0 application. Since 2007, we've helped design and launch over ten products and accelerated financing rounds for many of them.
Our rare combination of design, engineering and product management skills enables us to work with our clients to refine their vision, create personas and requirements, define task flows and deliver unique and simple user experiences.
We pride ourselves on being agile design experts, and we integrate ourselves fully into the product development life-cycle. We've shipped several products before and we know what it takes to do it.
When most design agencies require clear and well-defined requirements to deliver designs, we partner with our clients early in the process to help them integrate design thinking through every stage if the product life-cycle.
Our clients include UStream, DocVerse, ClerkDogs, Delve Networks, Colligent, blist, and various other startups.
Our work has been featured on almost every technology publication and blog, including WSJ, NYT, TechCrunch, O'Reilly and Time magazine.

Selected feedback from our clients:
"Amir and his team delivered beautiful, outstanding work. ...Amir listens, focuses on understanding the goals and truly takes ownership of the end product, a characteristic you don’t see in many consultants. At all times, you can feel that Amir is fully vested in the work as if it were his own. Most of all, Amir ended up doing a better job of managing our timeline than even we did, which was a total bonus."
- CEO, Docverse
Amir’s unique quality lies in his ability to combine analytical and creative thinking to quickly understand the product goals and business model, identify usability shortcomings, and generate ideas and sketches that provide the right set of features and designs that would answer the users’ key questions and tasks. He can easily tap into the collective intelligence and creative ability of everyone in the room.
- Stuart Skorma, CEO, ClerkDog
What the press said about products we've designed:
"Delve designers realized content creators weren’t interested in navigating through a bunch of screens to accomplish tasks. They have applied the one-screen-per goal philosophy which results in a lot less screens, each with deep interactions. To keep these rich screens from being completely overwhelming they have employed the following patterns: inline editing, dialog overlays, refining search, and progressive disclosure."
- O'Reilly's Inside RIA review of our design
"It was the ease of use of blist that attracted [VC] Scott Darling, a general partner at Frazier Technology Ventures."
- Seattle post Intelligencer
"the application is very intuitive and easy to learn and their design team has put a TON of work into making sure the user experience is solid. It’s one of the most well-designed Flex applications that I’ve seen and it’s still in the early stages."
The visual query builder in blist. blist is a consumer application built for people who use Excel as a database. We created the requirements, the interaction, and the visual design for the whole application.
